Originally from Missoula, Kent tested the waters of other communities before deciding Missoula was the place he wanted to settle down with his family. The “testing of waters” did include the Pacific Ocean on a surf board at the end of the work day in Santa Barbara. Since returning, Kent has made major contributions to Missoula and Western Montana through his work. His projects are diverse in type, scale and architectural expression. He is a natural team player and values input from all parties involved in bringing a project to fruition. Kent strives to create an architecture that is a unique reflection of the specific client’s experiences and values.rnrnWith no ocean nearby, Kent spends his free time sailing on Flathead Lake, rafting and fishing on the local rivers, and other family activities.

Angie is a Missoula native who has returned home after practicing in San Francisco, living abroad and traveling extensively around the world. Her interests are wide ranging from the arts and hand crafted, to local food systems, health and wellness and the exchange of ideas. While doing graduate studies and living in a small hilltown in Italy, she focused her thesis work on how to create experiential spaces through sensual engagement (using the five traditional senses, plus the sixth sense of kinesthetic movement), ultimately to provide a lasting memory in one’s mind.
Angie’s goal is to design spaces that matter, mark time, illustrate art and craft and dance lightly on the earth, all while supporting enjoyment of life. No detail, on any job, is too small to obsess about…and wonder if it is as beautiful as can be. For Angie, architecture isn’t just a career; it’s an all-encompassing lifestyle. She applies this same love of life to her family.

What started as a college internship in 2001 has turned into a career with MMW for Colin. Colin has been the project architect on some of the firm’s largest projects, is an expert in LEED and has also become the firm leader in energy modeling. If he had another life, he might choose to be an economist. Perhaps this explains his innate abilities of tightly running a project, as well as his commitment to post occupancy verification, which allows the owner and architect to know if systems are performing as expected. He’s helped the firm bring new industries to market, restore important habitat and gain approval for progressive infrastructure systems. In addition, Colin has a reputation with his clients for providing exceptional and friendly service. In the off hours, Colin runs like a cheetah, plays soccer and enjoys his family.
