On the western edge of Glacier National Park lies a small community of individuals willing to brave the most beautiful landscapes, harshest weather and animals of all scales. Big Ararat sits on a hill nestled among pines and keeps company with a smaller cabin (Little Ararat). This region has been devastated by wildfires repeatedly the last few decades. Thus, the owner needed a fire proof home that also served as a sanctuary for her extensive art and textile collections.
