laLocated on the University of Montana campus, this 1,300 square foot project has big goals of being a sustainable cafe with at least a LEED Silver rating. The project will be built onto one of the underground lecture hall’s exit stairs. MMW thought of the project as a modern greenhouse where every surface possible could be used for food production. This includes the roof, the planters at the entry, a south shading device made of perforated metal for climbing vegetables and the interior of the south façade. The project is on hold due to funding issues.
