Polson, Montana

Located on the south shore of Flathead Lake, this cabin sits on a narrow site that slopes steeply down to the water. The cabin is designed as a simple wedge emerging from the ground. The native grass covered roof matches the site’s underlying slope.

Interior and exterior living spaces interweave with the grade and look to stunning views up the length of the lake. Floor to ceiling doors encircle three sides of the living room. A massive indoor/outdoor masonry fireplace anchors the building to the landscape.
