The MSU Wellness Center brings together Campus Recreation, Student Health Services, the Health and Human Development Department, and a student Commons under one roof — creating a “third place” where students can come together outside the classroom and residence hall. The Commons, which emerged directly from student input, anchors the building and connects all programs in a light-filled space designed for chance encounters and social interaction.
Campus Recreation orients fitness spaces and a new climbing wall toward views of the Bridger Mountains, linking Bozeman’s world-class skiing and climbing directly to campus life. Student Health Services balances accessibility with privacy across a range of student wellness suites. The building is part of an innovative geothermal energy district, houses a 440 kW solar array on its roof, and is LEED Gold certified. A building that focuses on wellness must be a responsible partner in the global future.
