WATER’S EDGE

Missoula, Montana

This two-unit townhouse is a part of a 25 unit development master planned by MMW. Set along the Clark Fork River, each dwelling is set on a lot just bigger than the building outline and all share a common riverfront green.

Large porches and balconies face the river and are carefully orchestrated to provide visual privacy between units. Interiors include options for a residential elevator so that the wonderful second floor views of the river are universally accessible. Deep overhanging eaves and trellises blur the boundary between interior and exterior space, sheltering the exterior rooms and visually linking the interiors to the horizon.
