WEST YELLOWSTONE INTERAGENCY FIRE CENTER

United States Forest Service

The proposed remodel and expansion of the West Yellowstone Interagency Fire Center has been developed to support agency goals around expanded operations, facility resilience, and community outreach. WYIFC will build upon their existing services with year-round staff, expanded equipment maintenance and management, and proper administrative support and oversight, as well as administrative expansion providing a conference space for staff and community use.

The new entrance will improve the identity of the facility and be able to act as a welcome center for visitors. The character of the buildings will reflect the character of the work and people within, embodying the strength, service, and rugged resilience of the fire-fighting crews; and the new public entry will offer a firm handshake to the community, ready to engage in partnership and service.
